Before the War, Luc was a fairly famous writer. When the Nazis invaded France, they took everything he held dear his land, his chateau, his wife, and his son. It was after this that he dedicated the rest of his life to fighting the Nazis, but not out of revenge. He is said to do it out of his love for France.

Three months after the Nazis invaded, Luc met up with Sean Devlin. He managed to enlisth his help in destroying a Nazi installations throughout Paris, and to save several possible allies from La Villette an industrial zone in which his cell of the Resistance formed a base in a meat packing factory after an allied bombing raid. He was wounded in the stomach and became to disabled carry out missions personally. He now commands the Resistance from La Villette.
